WHY DON’T YOU DISPLAY FURNITURE PRICES OVER THE INTERNET?
We receive numerous requests for product prices over the internet. For a variety of reasons including manufacturer restrictions, technical issues, and constant change, we are unable to quote prices online, by email or over the phone. When you visit our easy-to-shop 65,000 square foot showroom full of affordable better quality furniture and mattresses, we will be glad to answer all of your questions – including pricing – to help you make the best buying decision for your family. WHY DON’T YOU SELL PRODUCTS ONLINE?
Furniture is the third largest purchase consumers make after homes and vehicles. Purchasing furniture over the internet is not like buying a book via the internet. It is impossible to know the quality and value of any item by only viewing a picture. There is no way to sit on a sofa to see how it feels on your computer! For customers to make an intelligent and informed decision, they need to look, touch, feel and inspect the furniture. Also, photography does not accurately show the true color of wood, leather, and fabric. We want to insure that customers purchase the right product for themselves. Additionally, the cost of shipping and possibility of damage can be extremely expensive.
So, then why do we maintain a website? It allows for customers, like you, to get a feel for our store and receive in depth information about our products and services before you visit our showroom. It also allows you to contact us through e-mail so we are able to assist in meeting your needs.
WHY DON’T YOU SELL EXTENDED WARRANTIES OR PROTECTION PLANS?
BILTRITE offers quality furniture, leather and mattresses produced by manufacturers who offer warranties on their products. Manufacturing defects that occur within the warranty period will be covered unless the furniture has been abused or altered to void the warranty.
Most protection plans can actually void the manufacturer’s warranty and are unnecessary. All manufacturers of upholstered furniture state that the warranty on the fabric is voided if the fabric has had RAFT (Retailer Applied Fabric Treatment). In other words, if a store or a customer applies additional fabric protection on the furniture, it voids the warranty. This is because the manufacturers have found that such products cause premature wear, pilling, seam slippage and fading on the fabrics. Some stores sell protection plans and do not apply anything to the fabric because they know it will damage it. For example, microfibers resist stains because they have thousand thread-counts, and there is a backing that prevents liquid stains from penetrating the fabric. When microfibers are sprayed with fabric protection, the backing separates from the fabric and there is no longer stain protection. Also, as extended warranties and protection plans are offered through third parties, when a customer makes a claim, there are often many rules and exclusions which make it difficult, if not impossible, to collect on the claim. Sometimes the third party insurer goes out of business and the warranty is unenforceable. We find that customers are better served by not purchasing these plans and saving their money.
We do give each customer written information on the care of his or her wood, fabric, or leather furniture and mattresses. If there is an accident that occurs and your furniture needs service outside of the manufacturer’s warranty, we will be happy to give you the name of an independent technician who can come to your home to address concerns, at your expense, which is often much less than the cost of the protection plans.

BILTRITE requires a 10% deposit on in stock items and a 50% deposit is required on all special orders by cash, personal check (with valid ID) or credit card. Sales tax and delivery charge collected at time of purchase.
Gift Certificates may be purchased in any amount. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.

Our sales are final but our tradition of service continues. For sanitary and health reasons, all customers purchase brand new furniture and mattresses at the lowest price possible.
